ALL ABOUT AMY
Hi, thanks for stopping by. Amy is a professional comic artist, book illustrator, design artist and fine artist specialising in licensed and all-ages characters. Most of her work is for the Walt Disney Company and its licensees, including Acme Archives, Hachette Book Group and various comic publishers. Amy has also expanded to Hasbro, working the Disney Princess, Star Wars, My Little Pony and Littlest Pet Show franchises as a designer.
Even though Amy has drawn her entire life, before taking up art professionally she obtained an Honours degree in Music from the University of Sydney, majoring in classical voice.
After several years' hard training and 6 months intense study in London, Amy decided classical singing wasn't for her and returned to Sydney. There, she joined Walt Disney Animation Australia as a trainee inbetweener and had moved up to Senior IB and unpaid Assistant Animator by the time the studio closed in 2006.
Amy then moved to the United States to pursue a comic career, starting at Tokyopop where she produced 2 volumes of the original comedy 'Divalicious' with writer T Campbell. From there Amy resumed her association with Disney with a series of Muppet and Pixar comics published by Boom! Studios.
Amy lives in Orange County and loves microbrews, Disneyland and rollerskating. Someday she'll figure out how to do all at once.
